"INTO THE SKY" - 2008 Marching Season

The Marching Eagles of Lexington Christian Academy is a relatively young band, having its first marching season in 1996.  Since 2001, the Marching Eagles have competed in seven Quarterfinal competitions and three State Semifinal competitions.  Under the direction of Mrs. Debbie Brookins, we had a very successful 2007 marching season. 

Seniors display KMEA plaque Congratulations to the band for their 8th place performance at KMEA State Semi Finals Competition on Saturday, October 20th in Louisville. They also received a very coveted Distinguished Rating for their performance. Way to go Students on an excellent marching season!!!

We are all looking forward to a great summer, but Mrs. "B" and Mr. Will have already previewed many available shows and have selected this fall's show - "Into The Sky". We will be posting the music and preview tracks soon...

Fundraiser Event - 08/29/08 GUITAR HERO Contest
The band has a great fundraising opportunity this year. On Friday August 29th, we will be hosting a Guitar Hero Contest. We need helpers! More information coming soon.

ICHTHUS Fundraiser
Thanks to those who made a valiant effort despite the rain and wind to raise funds for the band. We have the same opportunity again next year and look forward to the chance to enjoy a dry weekend of music and fundraising. Keep your calendars open for June 10-13, 2009!
